Roger Pugliese began his film career over 30 years ago working on Kramer vs. Kramer, The Wanderers, All That Jazz, Fort Apache-The Bronx, Blow Out and First Deadly Sin, the last film to star his idol Frank Sinatra.

After a successful career as an assistant director throughout the 1980s, working on such films as Grandview USA, Police Academy II and Big Top Pee Wee, Pugliese began his producing career on Pretty Woman, as a production manager for director Garry Marshall.

In 1991, Roger co-produced Single White Female, starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh, which would establish his long-standing relationship with Sony Pictures.

From there, Pugliese oversaw production on numerous films, including The Fan for director Tony Scott, Higher Learning for John Singleton and Article 99 for Howard Deutch, among others.   He also served as a producer on My First Mister, the directorial debut of actress Christine Lahti.

In addition to producing, Pugliese has served as an adjunct professor of film production at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts for several years, where he instructed director Michael Kristoff.

He is currently developing an eclectic slate of films, including Hooking Up, With a Bullet, Swingin’ Chicks of the ’60s and the documentary The Modern Jazz Quartet – The Gentlemen of Jazz.  He lives in Topanga Canyon, Calif., with his wife, Kristin.
