Brian Doyle-Murray is an American comedian, screenwriter, actor and voice artist. Doyle-Murray got his start as a professional performer for The Second City comedic stage troupe and went on to work in film, television and radio.
Early in his career, Doyle-Murray appeared as a writer/performer for The National Lampoon Radio Hour, later enjoying a stint on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. During his time on the iconic sketch show, he served as both a featured player and a writer. Today, he is one of the few cast members to have worked for all three of the show’s producers.
Doyle-Murray has been featured in numerous works since, including memorable performances as Chevy Chase’s uptight boss in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and as the business owner of an arcade in Wayne’s World.
He has also acted alongside his younger brother, Bill Murray, in several projects, most notably Scrooged, Groundhog Day and Caddyshack, which Doyle-Murray also co-wrote. Well known for his gruff voice, he has lent his talent to animated series such as Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Family Guy and King of the Hill.
Currently, Doyle-Murray plays Hank in a recurring role on TBS’ Sullivan & Son.
